KRISTEN'S TIME MACHINE TUESDAY: What Are Your Former Favorites Up To Now?

CHECKING IN ON SEASON 8:

What are Kristen's faves from Season 8 up to? Apparently, going a little Crazy with the busy.  We'll let them tell you about it:

Allison, Adam, and Kris perform "Crazy" at the Highline Ballroom in NYC on February 12, 2010.

It comes as no surprise to us that the kids are a little loco on stage, what with their insane schedules and brand new, exciting lives.  So, what are they up to? Check it out after the jump:

Kris!

Kris Allen is still heavy into promotion of  his self-titled album.

On top of that, he's celebrating the fact that his single, Live Like We're Dying, is officially platinum in the US!

Congrats, Kris!

After recently performing concerts in Singapore and making a trip to Haiti to help raise awareness of  the need for humanitarian aid, he will be on the road soon opening for Keith Urban.  But, in keeping with the spirit of Idol brotherhood, he'll open one concert date for Kristen's Season 5 fave, Daughtry!  Also, Kris' haunting version of "Let It Be" can be purchased on iTunes with all proceeds benefiting Idol Gives Back.

Meanwhile, here's Kris performing an accoustic version of  one of Kristen and my favorite songs from his album. "Before We Come Undone."

Adam!

Adam is currently on an international promotional tour, plugging his album, For Your Entertainment, which recently went Gold in the US. The album has gone Platinum in Canada, Gold in New Zealand, and debuted at #1 when it was released last week in Japan.  On top of that, his single, "What Do Ya Want From Me," is officially gold in the U.S. and still climbing the charts.  Congrats, Adam!

In between a hectic schedule in Australia, Singapore, Japan, England, and Germany, Adam will make a few quick stops in the US to appear on American Idol Season 9 (date to be announced) as well as to perform in a one-time concert on April 24 with none other than Lady Gaga.

Danny!

Since being signed to RCA Nashville, Danny Gokey has been working tirelessly on his first album, and the effort paid off! Released just last week, Danny's debut, My Best Days, was the highest debut album from a male country artist ever! Congratulations, Danny!  After an appearance on American Idol last Wednesday, his single, "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me" raced up the country charts.  As if that's not enough exciting news for the third-place finisher, he will begin touring in the spring, opening for none other than Sugarland! It appears Danny's best days are, indeed, ahead of  him.  Well deserved.

And in keeping with the accoustic theme, here's Danny singing "My Best Days."  Yep. It's a sure-fire hit.

Allison!

Allison Iraheta is our little singing rose in bloom.  Her debut album, Just Like You  is available on iTunes and Amazon.  Did we mention it is amazing and that people need to get busy buying it?  Did we?

She recently performed her new single, Scars, on American Idol.  The teenager has a full schedule of promotions and TV performances to generate interest in her Pink-Meets-Orianthi vibe.  Go Ali!

Matt!

Matt Giraud has the honor of  having the only #1 single on iTunes of all Season 8 Idols! His duet with jazz artist Anna Wilson shot up to #1 on the jazz charts when it was first released. It returned to that position after Matt's appearance on American Idol on March 11.  Congratulations, Matt! Meanwhile, ardent fans have, on many occasions, gotten #signmattgiraud to trend on Twitter. We hope their efforts pay off !

Kristen and I love seeing the "Idol Kids" making good on the huge opportunity the exposure on Idol presents them.  Wishing continued good luck to Season 8.

Tune in later for a recap of last night's KidZ Bop version of The Rolling Stones classic hits. AKA: Top 12 performances.  See ya' there!
