SARVER SINGS

Season 8's Michael Sarver has two new singles ready for purchase at iTunes.  The former rough neck shows off his bluesy ballad style with the lovely "You Are" and his country vibe with "Cinderella Girl." Michael is on the Dream Records/Universal Music Group and plans to release an album in the spring of 2010.
Check out more news after the jump!

GOKEY GOES COUNTRY

Season 8's third-place finisher, Danny Gokey, has completed his first album.  And he's following in the footsteps of Josh Gracin, Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington, and, hopefully, Carrie Underwood. He's gone country!  The album should be ready for release in March, 2010, but his first single, "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me," has already gone for radio ads.  Danny is with RCA/Nashville.

ARCHIE'S AVE MARIA

Season 7's runner-up, David Archuletta, has released a Christmas album, available on-line or at most retail outlets.  The holiday fare benefits from Archie's immaculate vocals, particularly his soaring version of "Ave Maria."  Don't let this season pass you by without giving this album a listen!

KRIS KRINGLES THE CHRISTMAS SONG!

Check out Kris' jazzy, accoustic version of  The Christmas Song! Kris was on The Bonnie Hunt show this week, along with performing at a series of radio-sponsored "Jingle Balls."

ADAM'S ANTHEM

Meanwhile, Adam Lambert performed The National Anthem at an Anti-Defamation League event honoring Steven Spielberg. Wow! Adam transforms from glam rocker to nice Jewish boy without batting a black-lined eye. He's also been busy MCing several Jingle Ball events, and will be appearing on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien tonight (December 14), the So You Think You Can Dance finale on Wednesday (December 16), and Jay Leno on Monday (December 21.)

That's this week's scoop.  Next week, besides more Adam/Kris/Ali news, we'll see what the Idols of Season 6 have been up to!
